A real person, usually within a day. They'll sort out a time that works, or send you the self-guided version if that's what you picked.

Keep going, or stop. Both are fine, and neither needs explaining.
Questions people ask
Do I need to believe any of it?
No. Most people who start have not decided what they think, and plenty finish still undecided. Reading something carefully and agreeing with it are different activities.
I've never opened a Bible. Is that a problem?
It's the normal starting point. You don't need any background, and nobody will assume you have one. You'll start with a short section and talk about what's actually on the page.
Is someone going to try to convert me?
Fair thing to ask. The people who run these have their own convictions and won't pretend otherwise — but the point here is that you read it and reach your own conclusions. If you decide it isn't for you, that's a real answer and nobody will chase you.
Do I have to talk to anyone?
Not if you would rather not. You can work through it on your own and stop there. The group, the one-to-one and the online chat are all options, not steps.
Is this a church?
No. Bible Discovery is a Christian not-for-profit. Some people doing it go to a church, plenty do not, and you will not be signed up to one.
What if my questions are awkward?
Then they're probably the interesting ones. Suffering, violence in the Old Testament, whether any of it happened — these come up constantly and they're better raised than politely skipped.
How much time does it take?
Most groups run about an hour, and people usually meet for a few weeks. You set the pace, and you can stop whenever you want.
What does it cost?
Nothing. There's no charge and no collection.
